Peppermint: Your Arsenal Against Inflammation

If you’ve been asking yourself: “Does peppermint essential oil actually assist with muscle pain?” The answer is: Yes!

There’s a reason this oil has been used for medicinal purposes since 1,000 BC. Peppermint possesses extraordinary anti-inflammatory properties due to its high percentage of menthol, which also has an invigorating, cooling and, antispasmodic effect.

Whether you mastered your yoga position or worked out like a warrior, sometimes as a result of intense workouts, pain occurs and muscles are worn out. That's where peppermint comes; acting as a natural pain-killer (without all the nasties). 

Here's our DIY remedy to help with those sore joints and achy muscles!

Ingredients:

3 – 5 drops Peppermint

3 – 5 drops Helichrysum

3 – 5 drops White Fir

1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil

Add oils to carrier and massage gently to the pain spot 2 – 3 times daily.

*Note: If you don't have all of the above oils, peppermint can be used on its own with a carrier oil and applied topically to the desired area.
