The Key Ingredient In This Winter Warmer Has More Potassium Than A Banana

Now the cold weathers' here, it’s time to get inside and enjoy a warming, winter soup. There’s really nothing better.

This super simple, hearty bowl will not only warm the soul but nourish the body; with one cup of butternut squash containing more potassium than a banana.

It's time to beat the winter blues and cook up this healthy, delicious soup. 

¼ cup diced organic onion
¼ cup diced organic celery
¼ cup diced organic carrot
3 cups diced organic butternut squash
2–3 cups free-range chicken stock
½ cup heavy cream or organic coconut cream
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 drops of cardamom oil
2 drops of cinnamon bark oil


Roast onion, celery, carrot and butternut squash in 180° C oven; when nicely browned put in sauce pan.

Add two cups chicken stock, cream, salt and, pepper.

Simmer until just boiling, place in food processor.

Puree until smooth, add more stock if needed for smooth texture.

Add Cardamom and Cinnamon Bark oils.

Add more seasoning if needed and serve hot.
