Sometimes, you just need a hand learning how to start. Here are some of our favourite essential oil hacks.

Lifestyle choices can have a profound affect on our health, vitality and energy. Adopting regular beneficial health practices and regimes delivers better health and wellbeing. Here are some of our favourite rituals, as voted by our staff. We love to combine these with eating right, regular exercise, managing stress, and reducing our toxic load to ensure that we are getting the best out of our every day life. 

#1 Balance Essential Oil

Balance is a blend of Frankincense, Spruce, Blue Tansy and Ho Wood essential oils. Use it for brain integration, calming, relaxing, hormone balancing and grounding. A great oil for when you feel stressed.

Apply 1-2 drops each morning to the shoulders and inhale. 

Apply 1-2 drops each evening to the soles of your feet. Why feet? The feet contain no sebaceous glands, so the oils are absorbed into the blood stream more quickly.

#2 Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil is great used as a detoxifier and cleanser. It removes plastics, toxins, and breaks down xenoestrogens in the body.

Take 1-3 drops daily in a glass of water. Also great in a water bottle each day (make sure it's glass, not plastic!)

#3 Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense essential oil is an anti-inflammatory that helps with cellular protection, memory and emotional balance. Also said to be the "oil of truth", Frankincense helps with development of the third eye.

Take 1 drop under the tongue daily to improve memory and clear brain dog.

Apply 1-2 drops on the third eye or neck for a beautiful perfume.

#4 OnGuard Essential Oil

OnGuard is a blend of Clove, Cinnamon, Wild Orange, Eucalyptus and Rosemary essential oils. This popular blend is an immunity booster and has natural anti viral and antibacterial properties.

Apply 1-2 drops to the soles of feet each morning. 

Take 1-2 drops in water and use as a mouth wash for a sore throat.

#5 Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil is one of our favourite all-rounder oils. As an antispasmodic, Lavender is great for relaxing the body and aiding sleep. It can also be used for attending to minor cuts and burns.

Apply 1-2 drops to the temples, pressure points or soles of feet each night, before sleep.

Apply 1 drop to cuts and burns, dilute in carrier oil (learn about carrier oils) for sensitive skin.

#6 Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil is great for a number of different things, from aiding digestion to pain relief.

Apply 1-2 drops to areas of pain, great for headaches. Always avoid contact with the eyes.

Take 1 drop in hot water for a refreshing peppermint tea, to help with reflux and digestion.
